Axis Communications, a network video system company, has released the AXIS P5655-E PTZ network camera, a cost-effective, high-performance PTZ camera for versatile surveillance applications
It comes with the new generation chip offering improved imaging, enhanced security features, extended capabilities for analytics and radically more efficient video compression.
The AXIS P5655-E features a light-sensitive sensor and a Forensic WDR for clarity even when the scene is both dark and light. In addition, Axis Lightfinder 2.0 technology captures low-light images with more saturated colours and sharper images of moving objects. And electronic image stabilisation minimises the effects of vibration and shaking.
Including extended processing power for advanced analytics, it also offers a choice of four scene profiles (indoor, outdoor, forensic and traffic). For each profile, the camera automatically optimises exposure time, white balance, aperture, sharpness, contrast, and noise to suit specific scene requirements.
Signed firmware and secure boot guarantees that the firmware hasn’t been altered and ensures only authorised firmware is installed. And if needed, secure boot guarantees that the camera is completely free of malware after factory default.
Additional features include HDTV 1080p with 32x optical zoom, focus recall and EIS and Zipstream with support for H.264 and H.265
To ensure flexible installation, this camera comes with two-way audio and four I/O ports. Furthermore, Axis Zipstream technology with support for H.264 and H.265 significantly lowers bandwidth and storage requirements.
