NtechLab, a specialist in video analytics, has been chosen as the technology partner of the Russian pavilion at Expo 2020, which runs for six months from October 2021 to March 2022 in Dubai, UAE
NtechLab’s platform will allow the Russian pavilion to collect analytics on visitor numbers, including segmentation based on gender and age, as well as calculating the average length of visit time and whether attendees are new or regular visitors.
To ensure effective crowd management and adherence to COVID-19 guidelines, the system will also notify employees when an excessively large number of people gather in one area. It will also provide information about queues in specific areas, such as what time they formed and how many people are in the queue.
Andrei Telenkov, CEO, NtechLab, said, “Expo 2020 is not only the largest international event during the COVID-19 pandemic, but also a symbol that people have not been cowed by the pandemic. As a technology company, it is a great honor for us to contribute to the safety and security of visitors to the Russian pavilion, and to participate in an exhibition in which countries are demonstrating their latest achievements.”
Liana Meliksetyan, chief commercial officer, NtechLab, stated, “Expo 2020 provides a unique opportunity for us and other technology companies from Russia to meet potential customers and partners in the Middle East. We are confident that one of the important outcomes of the participation of Russian companies in the exhibition will be new projects within the UAE and other countries who are ready to embrace innovative technologies.”

This ensures compliance with personal data and privacy legislation. The systems can also be configured so data is not stored and only reports are saved.”
On November 23, NtechLab will host the first Russia-UAE video analytics event. The guests from both countries, including government representatives, will discuss the use of face recognition for smart cities and private companies, including banks, shops, and industrial enterprises.
