The Abu Dhabi City Municipality has issued a call to contracting companies engaged in construction, building, demolition, and site work

They are urged to prioritise security and safety measures for pedestrians and neighbouring structures during construction or demolition activities, with the primary goal of safeguarding the well-being of the entire community.

This directive was issued as part of an ongoing series of field campaigns conducted by the municipality, spanning five consecutive days. These campaigns are being carried out through various sub-centres, including the City Municipality Center, Madinat Zayed Municipality Center, Al Wathba Municipality Center, Shahama Municipality Center, Musaffah Municipality Center, and the Municipal Presence Center – Baniyas. The municipality's efforts are geographically widespread and aim to educate construction and demolition workers about the imperative need for adhering to all safety standards and requirements at their work sites.

Throughout these campaigns, any individuals or entities found to be in violation of security and safety protocols for pedestrians and neighbouring structures during construction or demolition activities are closely monitored. Violators, property owners, and contractors are provided with educational outreach to underscore the importance of compliance with relevant laws and the implementation of security measures to protect pedestrians and neighbouring buildings during their work.

Furthermore, the campaigns involve the dissemination of awareness materials, including informative leaflets shared on the municipality's official social media accounts and the "Freegna" application. The municipality also engages in direct phone communication with violators from construction and demolition firms, emphasising the critical nature of security and safety precautions for pedestrians and adjacent properties in their operations. Additionally, targeted groups within the business community receive awareness messages via text messages to reinforce these safety standards.
