Oil and gas sector training provider, Maersk Training, has set up its first state-of-the-art teaching facility in the Middle East at Dubai World Central (DWC)
The new training centre will offer services to the offshore oil and gas industries throughout the Middle East, Africa and Asia. The centre will operate a broad range of courses designed to develop regional talent and set new benchmarks in safety and operational performance.
Paolo Serra, vice-president of DWCBusinessPark, commented, “The establishment of its centre marks an important milestone in our journey towards the creation of a well-rounded ecosystem for global businesses looking to get closer to their customers and expand their operational footprint.”
Located at DWC’s BusinessPark enclave, the facility will deploy a combination of classroom-based techniques and simulator-based instruction. The centre is scheduled to begin its first training session from the third quarter of 2015.
