AIS Training and Restrata collaborate to improve training for emergencies

Security

Industrial training specialist, AIS Training and safety and security giant, Restrata, are joining forces to develop and deliver advanced incident management training for the energy sector

The new partnership is set to see a number of specialised training courses developed and delivered for the oil and gas, wind and nuclear industries, to boost safety and improve the overall response to and management of emergency situations.

As part of the agreement, AIS Training will be able to tap into Restrata’s extensive hands-on expertise in security and safety to train its global client-base in managing emergency situations and incidents.

For Restrata, the partnership aims to allow it to add AIS Training’s unique capabilities to expand its own customer-offer to include virtual reality training and more than 400 industry-approved competency and skills courses for the oil and gas, renewables and construction sectors.

Gavin Taylor, commercial director at AIS Training, said, “When an emergency strikes it is imperative that people are trained to the very highest standards in order to minimise damage. This is particularly important in high-risk industries like oil and gas or wind and we were finding an increasing number of our clients demanding training to improve their management of emergency situations.”

“We are also planning to develop new courses with Restrata to raise safety and security standards across the entire energy sector,” Taylor added.

Will Follett, vice-president at Restrata, said, “This partnership will see us combining forces to deliver better solutions for our clients worldwide. Along with the recent investment in our new state-of-the-art 24/7/365 global command centre in Aberdeen, it underlines our continued commitment to the energy sector, and building greater resilience for our clients.”
