Philips introduces three healthcare technology projects in Saudi Arabia

Industrial

Philips, one of the kingdom’s healthcare providers, has launched three healthcare technology projects in partnership with the Ministry of Health at Saudi Arabia’s leading healthcare platform, the Global Health Exhibition

The three digital healthcare projects will provide solutions to address important areas of health care in Saudi Arabia. These projects are designed to enhance patient access and care experience, improve the overall health of the Saudi population, create a stress-free environment for health professionals through time-efficiency, and reduce the per capita cost of healthcare.

The projects include an AI Enabled Radiology Operations Command Centre. The two organisations are collaborating to optimise radiology operations and resources by establishing an innovative Radiology Operations Command Centre (ROCC) using Philips’ latest solutions and Philips’ design.

Philips’ design will support the development of an innovative, stress-free environment for health professionals working in the command centre.

The second project is the eHIA ‘eHealth ICU Advocate’ Tele-ICU Pilot, launched in collaboration with Saudi Telecom Company (STC), a telecom operator in the Middle East.

Philips will deploy its Tele-ICU platform-enabled by the latest technology innovations in adaptive intelligence and predictive analytics. The Ministry of Health will launch this first-of-kind pilot that delivers standard artificial intelligence supported critical care services to patients, independent of their hospital location.

The third project is population health management, launched in collaboration with Philips VitalHealth Platform and Lean Business Services to promote e-health in Saudi Arabia.

This programme will enable the Ministry of Health to screen 500,000 patients diagnosed with hypertension and diabetes, thereby increasing their overall stability. The chronic disease platform launched in primary healthcare clinics will help add patient’s up-to-date data to files, track annual and periodic examinations and facilitate patient follow-up on an ongoing basis which eases the process of diagnosis.
