MSA Safety, Inc. has announced that its latest portable gas detector, the ALTAIR io 4, has been honoured with the 2023 Frost & Sullivan New Product Innovation Award within the global gas detection sector
Serving as the inaugural fully-connected offering within the MSA Connected Work Platform, the ALTAIR io 4 was designed to provide a comprehensive connected and user-friendly safety solution. Its direct-to-cloud architecture facilitates seamless integration with MSA Grid cloud-based software and the ALTAIR io Dock, empowering safety managers to enhance compliance, streamline device fleet management, and amplify insights into worker safety.
Collaborating harmoniously with the company's MSA+ subscription service, the ALTAIR io 4 device and MSA+ collectively forge a dynamic hardware-software amalgamation, poised to elevate worker safety and simplify safety programme oversight. This dynamic solution offers real-time visibility, fostering safety and productivity across workers, job sites, and workflows. Frost & Sullivan's New Product Innovation Award commends enterprises that present pioneering products or solutions designed to uniquely address critical customer challenges.
This recognition encompasses a company's consistent cultivation of growth strategies, underpinned by a visionary comprehension of the industry's trajectory, while adeptly tackling novel prospects and hurdles. The holistic Connected Work Platform ecosystem, comprising elements like the ALTAIR io 4, MSA Grid software platform, MSA+, and MSA id digital device assignment capabilities, emerged as the focal point of analysis, distinguishing MSA's innovation prowess.

Visitors can join MSA Safety at the National Safety Congress in New Orleans, Louisiana, from 23-25 October.
