The 23rd edition of the global security event, which was postponed from January 2021, has kicked off at the Dubai World Trade Centre, with H.E. Dr Mohamed Al-Kuwaiti inaugurating one of its six summits with a keynote speech.

Along with a host of exhibiting partners, Intersec 2022 has a packed schedule of five focussed summit areas: the Global Security Leaders' Summit, Cyber Security Lab, Agile First Responders, Protecting Future Connected Cities & Citizens, and Safeguarding Critical Infrastructure.

The six summits will host international speakers for keynote speeches, panels, and question-and-answer sessions, all tackling the security industry's most pressing topics of discussion from Covid-19 recovery to the future of security.

Kyle Inan, a senior Geopolitical Analyst, gave the opening remarks of the Global Cybersecurity Leaders’ Summit, which opened Intersec 2022.

“I am pleased to welcome you to Intersec 2022. This event brings together distinguished guests and delegates from not just emerging markets but from the security world at large.”

“This event helps the security industry step up to the challenges of reopening the world and protecting citizens.”

Inan was joined by Dr. Mohamed Al Kuwaiti, the head of Cyber Security for the United Arab Emirates Government.

Dr. Al Kuwaiti explained: “The security landscape and the challenges it faces is not a one-company issue, its not a one-sector issue, its not a one-country issue - we have to come together and work together to approach the modern security problems faced. The key message is collaborative and effective efforts.”

“There is no better time to elaborate our approach to security.”

Intersec 2022 is currently taking place from 16-18 January at the Dubai World Trade Centre.
