LEAMS Education achieves Well Health-Safety rating

HSE

LEAMS Education has achieved the Well Health-Safety Rating through the International Well Building Institute (IWBI) for creating an optimal learning environment across all its six schools in Dubai

With students, teachers and administrators spending so much of their time within an educational facility, the Well Health-Safety Rating recognises efforts to manage critical health and safety issues in shared spaces. It looks at air and water quality management, lighting, cleaning and sanitation procedures, ventilation, emergency preparedness, health service resources, operational policies, maintenance protocols to ensure that their education facilities are better equipped, prioritising the long-term health and safety of students, staff, visitors.

Nabil Lahir, CEO, LEAMS Education, said, “Our schools have followed extraordinary measures to ensure adherence to the guidelines and protocols laid down by the regulatory authorities. The Well Health Safety Seal will mean that these measures and practices are reviewed, verified and are aligned with the best practices followed across the world. This will provide every student, teacher, staff member and parent the confidence of knowing that stringent health and safety protocols built on science have been followed in their school building. We strongly feel that the Well Health Safety Rating Seal will soon become a norm in the education industry and will be synonymous with international standards of safety and wellbeing.”

The Well Health-Safety Rating provides a centralised source and governing body to validate efforts made by owners and operators. It leverages insights drawn from the IWBI Task Force on COVID-19, in addition to guidance on the spread of COVID-19 and other respiratory infections developed by the World Health Organization (WHO), prevention centers and other emergency management agencies.
