Capital Health, the UAE’s integrated health group, has announced the appointment of Dr Ramzi Moufarrej as medical director to the Specialised Rehabilitation Hospital and Health Shield Medical Centre
In his role as medical director, Moufarrej will advise and lead physicians and staff in supporting the mission and goals of Health Shield Medical Centre and the Specialised Rehabilitation Hospital, set to open early 2019 and deliver an acute, sub-acute and long-term rehabilitation, and long-term care; a facility with outpatient capabilities, complemented by highly specialised skills and equipment, including the latest bionics and robotics, in the heart of the UAE’s capital.
Moufarrej received his medical degree from the American University of Beirut and completed an internship and medical residency in Internal Medicine at Duke University Medical Centre; Durham, North Carolina.
His professional training includes a clinical research and fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital; Boston, Massachusetts and a research fellow at Harvard Medical School Boston, Massachusetts.
