Johnson Controls has launched the ZETTLER T1306 addressable networkable marine fire alarm control panel specifically developed for use within small-scale marine vessels

The control panel’s mild steel construction offers increased durability and a sleek appearance, while addressable technology helps make installation, configuration and commissioning easier than ever before. It is available for distribution in Europe, Middle East, Asia-Pacific and Africa.

“With the global maritime industry quickly evolving and experiencing a phase-out of conventional fire alarm control units, our customers need an approved fire panel that offers the latest addressable technology with the quality and reliability they expect from ZETTLER products,” said Paul Grainger, product manager, Johnson Controls Fire Detection Products. “This new panel not only provides addressability and reliability at a competitive price, it also simplifies installation and maintenance and contributes to a low lifecycle cost.”

Addressable technology allows mariners to quickly and clearly pinpoint fire locations, increase response times and inform muster protocols if necessary. A 24-hour battery capacity helps improve maximum operational uptime, and two external battery boxes keep panel dimensions sleek to fit in tight areas. Combined with advanced control panel technologies that have been proven to reduce false alarms and built-in fail-safe mechanisms, the small marine panel is designed to help increase safety for humans and assets onboard.

The T1306 addressable marine fire alarm panel can accommodate both visual and audible alarms. It is equipped with two full-powered loops that can be split into six shared power loops to support up to 500 devices for maximum configuration flexibility. An intuitively designed LCD display and robust tactile response buttons and switches help to increase usability in harsh marine environments. The panel can be mounted within the bridge, or remotely coupled with an in-bridge repeater to conserve space within the command centre.

Additional key features include a top and bottom entry gland plate, communication via Modbus to gateway (SMS/MIS) and four-panel capacity in the master/client configuration. The T1306 fire alarm panel has an IP32 rating and has earned various global industry approvals, including EN54, MED, ABS, BV, DNV GL, KRS, LRS (IACS) and CCS.
