Nomex Comfort with EcoForce technology is designed to improve sustainability while continuing to deliver optimal hazard protection for works in oil & gas and chemical manufacturing environments
The new fabric protects workers from multiple hazards, with built-in flame resistance ensuring structural integrity and flexibility after exposure to flame and optimal protection against liquid chemicals, arc flash, extreme heat and static electricity.
Its chemical-repellent finish is made from over 50% bio-based materials rather than fluorine chemistry, increasing sustainability while maintaning durability with inherent FR protection that won't be washed or worn away.
DuPont has earned certifications EN 13034, EN ISO 11612, EN-1149-5 and EN/IEC 61482-2 for the new fabric, which is certified even after 50 cleaning cycles as per ISO 6330.
The chemical repellent properties can withstand 100 washing and 20 drying cycles, maintaining tear and abrasion resistance and long-lasting wear life.
“We are committed to improving the sustainability of our PPE solutions while constantly deliver industry-leading protection,” said Christine Christmas, thermal protective apparel, global marketing leader at DuPont.
“DuPont™ Nomex® Comfort with EcoForce™ technology demonstrates how we can help reduce the environmental impact of PPE without compromising on worker safety.”
