Safety & Health Expo 2018, the UK’s largest health and safety event and conference, will take place at ExCeL London on 19-21 June, featuring a new Occupational Health and Wellbeing Zone for the first time
Showcasing top health and safety solutions from more than 300 UK and international suppliers, Safety & Health Expo will unite industry leaders, end users, key associations, manufacturers and distributors to address how to change both the perception and practices of health and safety, continuing to keep workers and environments safe.
Visitors can source from a range of products and services from trusted names including Traka, Mascot International, Draeger, Evac+Chair, Ikar GB, RRC International and Safety Media. They can also benefit from CPD accredited seminar sessions, valuable networking opportunities and much more.
“Industry-wide there’s a definitive need for a more holistic approach to all-inclusive wellbeing as well as an acknowledgement of the huge benefits that this brings to employees and businesses alike,” say the organisers, UBM. “These concerns are reflected in this year’s event, as to help inspire practitioners, the show has launched a brand new Occupational Health and Wellbeing Zone, encompassing three days of free CPD-accredited content.
“In proud partnership with NEBOSH, HSE, IOSH and RoSPA, Safety & Health Expo is driving this shift within the profession, acting as a catalyst for a more inclusive approach and serving the profession in an increasingly holistic and effective manner.”
A key attraction of the event is the Inspirational Speakers programme, which this year includes comedian and mental health expert Ruby Wax OBE; Nicky Moffat CBE, formerly the most senior woman in the British Army; and English rugby legend and management pioneer Sir Clive Woodward OBE, who will deliver talks on the need for positive professional environments and sustaining a healthy, happy, high-achieving workforce.
The Keynote Theatre will feature strategic topical debates including discussions on ISO 45001, sentencing guidelines and prosecutions and Carillion’s collapse, while the Operational Excellence Theatre will offer seminars on topics ranging from working at height to accident investigations.
New for 2018, the Occupational Health & Wellbeing Zone will have a dedicated seminar theatre and a relaxation zone, while industry leaders will share their personal stories on mental health and wellbeing and why it is so important for organisations today.
A highlight will be the Professional Clothing Show, actively showcasing new and innovative workwear including footwear, gloves, badges and ties alongside PPE solutions. Product testing and product demonstrations will be a new feature this year, while the PCS fashion show will offer the opportunity to see PPE innovations from leading suppliers demonstrated by catwalk models.
Other features include the Professional Development Theatre, with seminars focused on career development and qualifications, soft skills and behavioural safety; the Lone Worker & Driver Safety Theatre; the SHP rising Star Awards; Legal Clinic; and Meeting Service.
The Safety & Health Expo is co-located with FIREX International, the dedicated fire safety event; IFSEC International, the leading security event; the Facilities Show; and Field Service Management Expo.
