Globus has unveiled its latest protective glove for workers handling chemicals and oils
The Showa 379 has a nitrile foam palm finish for improved grip, allowing workers to handle greasy objects, and an additional two coatings of nitrile for protection from oils, hydrocarbons, benzines, grease and hexavalent chromium found in concrete, as well as chemical protection certified to the level EN374-3.
“Choosing the right protection for employees in industry is absolutely vital,” said Steve Shale, marketing manager at Globus. “The right choices ensure that staff are safeguarded.
“By reducing injuries the company is also protected against loss of working days and claims for injuries sustained.”
The UK-based protective glove manufacturer said the new product was expected to sell well in the Middle East, particularly in Saudi Arabia, UAE and Oman, where sales of protective gloves have been rising in line with the expansion of the petrochemical industry across the region.
“The protection offered by the triple nitrile platform can reduce the number of accidents across many industrial sectors in the Middle East – it surely must be a ‘win, win’ situation for staff and employers alike,” Shale added.
