The Security Professionals Association (SPA) for SIRA expects Expo 2020 to set the trend for security systems and services in the region
As the world enters a new decade, security will play a major role across all industries and security professionals must exceed their level of creativity and determination to protect the people and places they are responsible for.
Applications such as smart cities, artificial intelligence and cybersecurity, all under development under the ‘Sustainability’ theme of the Expo, make the scope of job availability in the security sector highly opportunistic. Commercial security, smart home, cybersecurity, fire and rescue, security and health, homeland security and surveillance, and perimeter and physical security are all major sectors that will be amplified as Dubai is set to host the world for Expo 2020.
SPA for SIRA is taking part in the Intersec 2020 Exhibition in Dubai, which runs from 19-21 January at the Dubai World Trade Centre.
Khalid Al Hammadi, chairman of SPA for SIRA, said, “The industry is advancing towards technologies such as AI and machine learning applications, which will be used as part of the security protocols of Expo 2020.
“This is sure to create an array of job opportunities that will benefit individuals within the security sector, and SPA for SIRA will be there to act as a platform that bridges the gap between security professionals and regulators, as well as fosters a platform for knowledge exchange and development.”
“Participating in Intersec not only enables our members to interact with a global network of security experts but broadens their opportunity to inform themselves of the latest security applications and trends within the industry. This event showcases the latest cutting edge innovations and technologies in one of the most important years for the UAE, which will support the safe and secure logistics of Expo 2020,” noted Al Hammadi.
SPA for SIRA’s stand at Intersec 2020 is located at Saeed Hall 2.
