DEWA receives ISO 27037:2012 certificate

Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) has received a certificate of commitment towards ISO standard ISO 27037:2012, which provides guidelines for dealing with digital information

The ISO certification was awarded based on criteria that include procedures to ensure the safety and reliability of digital evidence by searching, identifying and documenting the information and preventing it from being lost.

The certificate includes guidelines to assist with the identification, collection and preservation of information. The criteria also include the acquisition of information, making copies and documenting, maintaining and ensuring the accuracy of the information to be used at a later stage. The data will be utilised in the exchange of digital information between DEWA and its stakeholders, to achieve complete integration of data-verification operations.

He also added that DEWA strives to adopt the latest techniques in information security, adopt the best international standards and keep up with the latest developments in information security.
