Global cybersecurity and anti-virus provider Kaspersky lab has signed a MoU with Abu Dhabi Systems & Information Centre (ADSIC), seeking to provide advance technological cybersecurity solutions to various e-government services in Abu Dhabi

ADSIC asserted that around 84 government entities will be benefitted from this strategic partnership with the Russian multinational Kaspersky lab.

In light of enhancing information security in the UAE, this strategic partnership is aimed to help ADSIC contribute to the region’s digital transformation, and protect information and data of the government.

Rashed Lahej Al Mansoori, director general of ADSIC, clarified that this partnership will help ADSIC in assisting the UAE government’s initiative to develop Abu Dhabi’s information and communication technology (ICT) sector.

He further added, “ADSIC is committed to facilitating all necessary requirements through its strategic partnerships with leading members of the ICT private sector to provide our government partners with added value by benefiting from their technical expertise to meet the various needs of Abu Dhabi’s e-government.”

As per the MoU agreement, Kaspersky lab will deploy its resources, technical expertise and solutions to ADSIC, with an aim to reinforce ADSIC’s cybersecurity environment and its strategic partners for the government sector.

Kaspersky will also organise cyber awareness workshops to benefit ADSIC from knowledge transfer and international practices.

Maxim Frolov, managing director for META at Kaspersky lab, commented, “It is essential for any governmental organisation to serve its customers in a flawless manner and in today’s world of constantly evolving cybercrime this is not possible without strong security measures.”

“I believe that this agreement will be beneficial for both sides and I hope it is the beginning of a fruitful long-term cooperation,” he concluded.
