MOBOTIX’s video technology supports clients on their way ‘back to the new normal’

Industrial

MOBOTIX, a manufacturer of premium-quality intelligent IP video systems, has bundled the available ‘back-on-track video technology solutions’ for its partners and customers to help get them up and running quickly and effectively

The company said this makes it easier for industries and sectors like retail, restaurants, airports, train stations, municipalities, industrial enterprises, service companies and educational institutions to ‘go back on track’.

With professional analysis and thermal imaging technology, MOBOTIX automates the ‘back-to-business restart’ with an array of optional applications in the latest MOBOTIX 7 generation cameras and specially developed add-on solutions from MOBOTIX’s global partner community.

The company added that MOBOTIX’s hardware and software can be adapted and converted for numerous alternative industry-specific tasks with maximum cybersecurity.

Automatic people counting and recording

MOBOTIX video technology can count the number of people in shops, schools and public buildings automatically without the need for additional personnel. For example, an indoor or outdoor entry control system can be installed, using a traffic light system or an automatic door control system.

The MOBOTIX video analysis technology enables the cumulative recording of the current number of people in complex and multi-story buildings, using all cameras installed at the entrances and exits.

Supporting social distancing

MOBOTIX technology does not monitor whether the minimum distance in all areas is maintained, but rather checks whether it can generally be maintained within highly frequented areas. Video technology, for example, can detect overcrowding places – waiting areas or at checkouts – and resolve it using visual and acoustic warnings.

Face mask detection

Partner solutions that rely on MOBOTIX technology can detect when face masks are worn and, if violations occur, trigger alarms or warnings. Additionally, sensitive areas can be better monitored and protected, such as sterile zones in hospitals and nursing homes.

Recognising temperature abnormalities

MOBOTIX TR (Thermal Radiometry) technology makes it possible to measure thermal radiation - even from people. Despite the fact that MOBOTIX thermal technology does not replace medical devices, they can help analyse critical situations so that further measures can be taken. It allows the detection and reporting of anomalies. Identified persons may then be examined further and referred to the medical profession.
