Larson Electronics releases explosion proof control station

Larson Electronics, a Texas-based lighting and equipment company, has announced the release of an explosion proof control station for use in Class I, Division one hazardous locations

The control station has five drilled and tagged operator holes and supports several control mechanisms for heavy-duty machines.

The unit comes with an emergency-stop push-button, a two-position selector switch, momentary push-buttons and a 10k Ohm potentiometer.

The EPCS-2PS-PB.M.B-PTM.10K-PM.M.G-ESTP explosion proof control station is made of durable aluminium with stainless-steel components and is surface mount compatible.

The company stated that the station is rated for use in Class I, Divisions one and two, Groups C and D; Class I, Zones one and two, Groups IIB and IIA; Class II, Divisions one and two, Groups E, F and G; and Class III hazardous locations. The unit has a maximum voltage rating of 600V AC and features a single red mushroom head push button for emergency stops.

Larson Electronics’ explosion proof control station allows operators to engage commands using one, two-position selector switch and two momentary push-button contact switches that are black and green.

The unit also features one 10k Ohm potentiometer that is two watts and 30V DC. According to the company, this unit is suitable for use in petroleum refineries, chemical plants, paint spray booths, food manufacturing plants, and more.
