Honeywell launches digitised workforce management solutions to support remote operations

Industrial

Technology company Honeywell has announced a complete, modular software solution to help industrial companies enforce compliance with important health and safety requirements as their employees return to work, including body temperature controls and automated entry management processes

Using digitised workforce management with real-time location functionality, the solution facilitates site monitoring compliance following social distancing policies and enables contact tracing and worker safety monitoring. It also includes capabilities for remote collaboration to empower enterprise operations with reduced workforce.

Honeywell digitised workforce management - business continuity and response solution combines software and hardware technology to support return to work and transition to operations as part of a broader plant and personnel safety portfolio.

The system can support Honeywell thermal cameras which can be used with NDAA 2019, Section 889 compliant systems to check for elevated body temperatures and provide input to the access control system.

This can allow operators to restrict access to the entrance when detecting an elevated temperature, helping to automate the preliminary screening process and reducing manual tasks. This helps optimise workforce risk profiles both individually and collectively.

Digitising the entryway approval workflow for visitors and returning employees and contractors enables organisations to onboard the workforce efficiently, leveraging workforce management and access control to a new protective layer.

Pierre Van Neste, global director of sales, plant and personal safety, Honeywell Process Solutions, said, “These new layers of protection help industrial companies bring their workforce back to work with greater protections, at the appropriate time.

“These protections don’t just provide utility here and now – they give workers, businesses and industry alike a broader solution for preparedness and situational awareness in the future.”

Integrated safety and security solutions from Honeywell with digitised workforce management software create scalable customer support services to minimise the risk of exposure and transmission within their workplace while allowing business continuity and accelerating a managed return to safe operations.
