Drydocks World wins at Lloyd’s List Global Awards 2017

Drydocks World, the global provider of marine, onshore and offshore services to the oil, gas and renewable energy sectors, has received the Safety Award at the Lloyd’s List Global Awards 2017

Five years ago, Drydocks World adopted an initiative of ‘zero harm’ aiming to create a workplace where all personnel are safe.

To set up an incident-free environment, with pro-active practices and stringent monitoring, the ‘zero harm’ road map focuses on benchmarking the organisation in terms of HSE systems and reinforcing a behavioural safety culture in the workforce.

According to the company, it has achieved positive result in ensuring safety, quality and environment since the launch of the initiative five years ago, as it took a systematic goal-oriented strategy to reduce and minimise the complications associated with health, safety and environmental problems.

In 2016, Drydocks World achieved 26.5mn man-hours worked with 3.92 injury rate frequency per million man hours, which is 48 per cent reduction in injuries from 2015.

The company said that it also conducted 11,192 safety training sessions and received 88 per cent satisfaction from customers for safety aspects on projects.
