Bosch expands its mid-range camera portfolio in the UAE

Industrial

Technology company Bosch has launched FLEXIDOME IP starlight 5000i and FLEXIDOME IP starlight 5000i IR in the UAE

The new range of dome cameras brings an extra starlight option to its already comprehensive midrange camera portfolio in extreme low-light situations for crisp detailed colour images. This is an excellent solution for applications that demand a limited budget for high-quality security images and video analytics.

The FLEXIDOME IP starlight 5000i (IR) cameras complement a portfolio of fixed dome, bullet and box cameras which feature built-in Essential Video Analytics, fully configurable H.265 (high efficiency video coding) multi-streaming and simple installation with auto zoom/ focus lens (AVF), wizard and pre-configured modes.

Video Analytics

The new FLEXIDOME IP starlight 5000i (IR) cameras come standard with essential video analytics on board, enabling data to be quickly retrieved from hours of stored video. Advanced intrusion and automatic detection with timely warnings enhance security levels 24/7.

The companies can collect all the important statistics, such as counting the number of people entering or leaving a store while simultaneously securing entry. Trigger automatic alerts to improve service and minimise overcrowding when queue numbers or specific areas exceed a certain level of crowds. Or even identify patterns to optimise store layouts, experiences and sales in customer activity.

Image quality – even in extreme low light

The latest camera additions deliver colour images at 0.02 lux in the darkest scenes, and 0.005 lux in the monochrome. With full video analytics capabilities, such as colour filtering, even in scenes with minimal ambient light, they greatly enhance safety levels and open up new usage opportunities.

The FLEXIDOME IP starlight 5000i (IR) comes with a dynamic range of 146 HDR and 60 frames per second, making (fast) moving objects even more perfectly exposed-even in challenging, unevenly lit scenes.

Ease of installation

All IP 4000i, IP 5000i and IP 6000(i) cameras are designed to be considerably easier to install, with essential installers included in the packaging. The varifocal lens also automatically focuses during set-up so there is no need to adjust the camera physically and modular accessories further reduce installation time.

Set-up and configuration

All cameras offer the same familiar graphical user interface, which reduces training and set-up time substantially. The cameras IP 4000i, IP 5000i, and IP 6000(i) also share the same product platform over several generations for easy maintenance and backward compatibility. Upgrading or adding features is done through firmware updates, which also reduces maintenance costs and allows for easy integration into third-party software and recording solutions. Finally, configuration is also made simple, since the camera itself performs the calibration.
