It also aims to achieve its production target of more than 1.54mn metric tonne by 2020 production and continue to be a lean aluminium producer by building on the legacy of its cost-improvement project titan programme.
Alba’s CEO Ali Al Baqali emphasised, “Alba can only control what is intrinsic to its operations i.e. safety, production and cost.
“In light of the current circumstances, we have activated our response strategy to ensure the safety of our people and the continuity of our operations.
“We have been proactive in adopting many safety initiatives across all departments following the guidelines of the Government of Bahrain and respected health organizations. We also remain focused, through our resilient capabilities, to ensure the continuous and sustainable supply of our raw materials to run our operations smoothly all the while deliver our products to clientele across the globe.”
