Sohar International, a bank in Oman, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Burjeel Hospital to offer its customers a range of special services
Under the one-year agreement, Sohar International cardholders will be entitled to a range of services at Burjeel Hospital that includes – 20 per cent discount on all consultations and two general practitioner, one cardiology and two dental consultations free in a year for out-patients; 10 per cent discount and an upgrade to the royal suite for in-patients; 20 per cent discount on diagnostics; free ambulance service; one free health checkup for credit cardholders and 50 per cent discount for their family members; and a 20 per cent discount on physiotherapy.
“Health has been a crucial component of our social responsibility initiatives, and we have been exploring new ways to make a difference to our customers’ lives,” said Khalil Al Hedaifi, the chief retail banking officer of Sohar International.
“Providing winning offers and promotions, we are pleased to enter into this strategic alliance, as the benefits go a long way in ensuring our customer's healthful life," he added.
“Taking every opportunity to create an overarching concept of ‘responsive banking’ to help customers achieve their goals, we always aim to put our customers in a winning position yet again,” he noted.
Under the “Interactive Easy Payment Plan” programme, Sohar International’s credit card (gold, platinum, signature and infinite) customers will be able to make payments in equal instalments over a three, six or 12 month period with zero interest rate for any medical bill amounting to US$519 and above, made at any of Burjeel Hospital Oman’s branches.
