Pure Health launches online system for UAE travellers’ pre-travel COVID-19 tests

HSE

Pure Health has launched an online system in partnership with the UAE’s Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship (FAIC) where passengers travelling to the UAE can register for COVID-19 testing in their home country through an approved network of laboratory facilities

Pure Health is a GCC laboratory operator and a major partner of the UAE authorities in the nationwide fight against the pandemic.

This is an international laboratory partnership project, where at this stage of the project, the service is enabled in partnership with more than 500 accredited laboratories in 40 countries.

The service can be booked through a web portal, where Pure Health has provided the list of approved laboratories in each country.

The incoming passengers to the UAE from any of the empanelled countries can register for the screening (after they have been informed to do so during the government application process) simply by entering their details, selecting their country, city and preferred laboratory on the portal. Their results are then shared on a shared portal with the FAIC. The applicants will then receive FAIC feedback about their application.

Pramodh BN, head of commercial operations at Pure Health, said, “We are working hard to add more countries and labs across the world and we look to achieve coverage in 60 countries and 1,000 laboratories in the short term. We advise the UAE residents and visitors to follow sensible guidance to prepare when they are planning their trip to the country and reduce the risk of exposure to COVID-19 while this outbreak is ongoing.”

It is important to note that the online portal of Pure Health has to be used to book and pay for the laboratory services. This will ensure the UAE government receives the information from the approved laboratory that the passenger carried out the test.

Passengers need to ensure that they carry the Pure Health result certificate for their travel as that is the only certificate that the airlines flying to the UAE will accept. The passenger can not use a certificate which is issued directly to them by the laboratory.

If, after completing the test, they did not receive the Pure Health certificate by email, the passengers must follow up with the laboratory, where they gave the test to ensure that the results of the passengers are released on the Pure Health portal.

Once they complete the test, the Pure Health certificate will be sent to them and they will receive it in their registered email on the portal. Passengers not passing through the portal will not share their test result with the UAE authorities.
