Infiniti Middle East launches online bidding platform as part of road safety campaign

INFINITI Middle East has launched an online car auction this Ramadan from 7-9 May 2020 as the first of several bidding opportunities throughout the Holy Month

The online auction will enable participants to bid on the INFINITI QX80 starting at the competitive price of US$40838.55, which is not seen on the showroom floor. A portion of the sales proceeds from all cars sold through this online platform will fund the donation of infant seats for new-born children in 2020. Car buyers can pre-register prior to the auction and receive an email notification once the bidding starts.

“Potential car buyers across the country are often greeted with special Ramadan incentives however we wanted to place greater emphasis on family and community, particularly during these turbulent times,” said Markus Leithe, managing director, INFINITI Middle East.

“Our unique online bidding platform aims to give new car buyers great savings during Ramadan, particularly whilst many are unable to visit showrooms but still contributing towards a positive driving culture in the UAE, especially with new-borns taking their very first car ride from hospital to home.”

In 2019, INFINITI conducted a nationwide survey by YouGov as part of the ‘Eyes On You’ road safety campaign which discovered over half of parents do not know the legal requirements for seatbelt use for children, while more than 30 per cent of drivers admitted to breaking the law when children are present in the car.

This campaign is closely aligned with the Dubai traffic safety strategy to reduce road fatalities by 1.5 for 100,000 population by 2021.
