Gas & Oil Field Services Company (GOFSCO) underlined the importance of HSE innovation and excellence at the third Kuwait International Health, Safety, Security and Environment Conference and Exhibition (KIHSSE)
The event, held at the Jumeirah Beach Hotel & Spa in Kuwait from 18-20 February 2019, brought together influential oil and gas and HSE experts to share their wealth of knowledge and exchange ideas for a brighter, more sustainable future for the energy sector.
Hussam Ali Marafie, chairman and CEO at GOFSCO participated in the plenary session-leadership panel on ‘Leadership Role in Transforming HSE Culture’.
He highlighted his involvement from a managerial perspective and the approach taken to ensure the sustainability of a positive and proactive HSE culture within the company while addressing several challenges to achieve HSE excellence across all practices.
“With HSE continuously being integrated into our business cultural norms, we are able to further enhance our methods of conducting business for our partners, employees, environment, and the society as a whole, while maintaining our commitment to the HSE standards,” he said.
The company’s participation in the exhibition featured the oilfield solar pump, which was designed to help reduce the ecological environmental footprint by reducing CO2 emissions for a healthier environment.
Its stand was designed to introduce visitors to the QHSSECare system. The system is designed to share intensive training courses on HSE standards and the necessary measures to ensure that employees maintain a healthy, safe and secure working environment.
