Humaid Al Qutami, director-general of the Dubai Health Authority (DHA) has received a high-level delegation from the British Embassy
The delegation was led by Andrew Jackson, Her Majesty’s Consul General to Dubai and the Northern Emirates.
Al Qutami discussed ways to explore and enhance cooperation between the two countries in the medical field. He highlighted the long-standing relationship between the two countries and the potential to build on collaboration opportunities.
The two sides discussed collaboration in diagnostics, preventive health and medical care.
The two sides discussed the current global situation and COVID-19. Al Qutami provided an overview of the measures in place and said that DHA is working with other relevant UAE authorities to control the spread of COVID-19
Al Qutami discussed the DHA’s policies of preventing communicable and non-communicable diseases and highlighted that the health and safety of community members is an absolute priority.
He also praised the role of all medical staff members and reiterated their commitment and dedication to serve the community.
During the meeting, the two parties agreed to explore cooperation in the health sector and gain from each other’s expertise as well as share knowledge about important healthcare developments.
