DHA and DSC sign MoU to enhance Dubai’s healthcare system

The Dubai Health Authority (DHA) and the Dubai Statistics Centre (DSC) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to enhance the strategic partnership and cooperation in processing data and statistics related to Dubai’s healthcare sector

The MoU aims to enhance partnerships between the two in the exchange of experiences, skills and knowledge as well as collaborating in conducting studies and research that will help develop and enhance Dubai’s healthcare system.

Humaid Al Qutami, DHA’s CEO, stressed the importance of data processing in guiding decision-makers in creating plans, strategies and initiatives that meet Dubai’s people’s healthcare demand and needs.

He said field studies and surveys play an important role in the development of the ever-changing health sector and thus offer strong indicators on the efficiency of health institutions and services in the city. They also act as indicators of international trends and rapid change in the field.

He commended the great role and contribution of DSC to the achievements and developments witnessed in Dubai by providing a clear vision and strong indicator of the current situation and future insight across different sectors.

Arif Al Muhairi, an executive director of DSC, added that the MoU is a consolidation of the strategic partnership between DSC and DHA, resulting in joint initiatives, cooperation and data exchange. Among these joint initiatives was to link statistics in the private healthcare sector between the centre and the health facilities and facilities of the DHA.

He said the willingness of the authorities to ensure their plans is based on data and research. Commenting on DSC’s future plans, he said the centre will provide innovative initiatives based on data processing and artificial intelligence to support Dubai’s healthcare sector. He also commended the DHA’s willingness to collaborate with the centre.
