Gulf Air, Bahrain’s national carrier, has imported 82 tonnes of medical supplies from India with partner medical suppliers in response to the national COVID-19 mitigation efforts

Gulf Air operated four cargo flights from and to various Indian cities throughout the month of May, carrying back medicines, medical equipment, and hygienic products.

In addition, on May 27, Gulf Air operated a first in-a-series cargo flight to Guangzhou, China, importing 21 tonnes of medical supplies where the airline used all of its aircraft compartments to maximise storage space.

Gulf Air works with Team Bahrain members to ensure adequate availability of medical supplies during those unprecedented times. Gulf Air also operated six flights during April to import 90 metric tonnes of medical supplies from India.
