The Kuwait HSE Forum, to take place from 3-4 September at the JW Marriott Hotel, Kuwait City, will provide a platform to share insights and expertise on topical health and safety issues
The Gulf countries have large multicultural workforces which are exposed to various occupational hazards. Kuwait is no exception, with its dominant oil and gas and construction industries giving rise to potential hazards ranging from fire and chemical spills to working at height and exposure to dust. Despite rapid advances in health, Kuwait faces a range of occupational health challenges such as providing safer and healthier work environments, addressing communication issues, implementing sustainable workplace safety and health programmes, reducing environmental hazards, cutting the road accident rate and promoting healthy lifestyles and behaviours.
Kuwait also faces security challenges. Deploying video surveillance under challenging circumstances, such as influence of outside lighting, threat of vandalism etc is one of the topmost priorities in the country.
Given the above scenario, The Kuwait Health, Safety and Environment Forum will discuss best practices, process improvements, technological advancements and innovative applications to enhance HSE performance in Kuwait while promoting wellbeing at work. The latest in the highly successful event series, it will provide a neutral platform where a wide range of perspectives and concerns from a variety of stakeholders can be explored, thereby creating new avenues of business.
