National Security Advisor and vice-chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council HH Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan said, “The ISNR comes from the interest of senior leadership to organise specialised, international exhibitions, according to the best international standards, and constantly aims to provide all the possible ways to establish security, stability and daily lives.”

A recent Frost & Sullivan report projected the Middle East homeland security market to grow at three times the pace of the global average. This growth is driven by economic diversification, large-scale infrastructure developments as well as upcoming regional mega-events, such as the Dubai Expo 2020 in the UAE, and the FIFA World Cup Final 2022 in Qatar.

Homeland security spending broadly encompasses investment in support of emergency response and disaster management, border security for land, sea, and air, law enforcement and crowd management, critical infrastructure protection, transportation security, bio defence and cyber security.

ISNR 2016 deputy chairman of the higher organising committee HE Major General Dr Ahmed Nasser Al Raisi said, “The Middle East’s homeland security market will see a compound annual growth rate of 18.7 per cent, and reach US$34bn per year by 2020. This growth is not reflective of worsening security situations, but rather a positive foundation for countries enhancing their security and resilience.”

ISNR Abu Dhabi will also host two co-located events – Fire Fighting Middle East and Occupational Safety and Health Middle East.
