The fourth edition of the three-day event, licensed by Dubai-headquartered Messe Frankfurt Middle East, will take place from 19-21 September 2021 at the Riyadh International Convention & Exhibition Center.

The annual exhibition and conference was originally scheduled to take place in March 2021, but ongoing restrictions on events along with travel and freight restrictions in the kingdom remain in place for the New Year.

Alexandria Robinson, Intersec Saudi Arabia’s Show Director, said, “While it is disappointing that we have to move Intersec Saudi Arabia to September 2021, this will ensure the kingdom is fully open for business and allows us more time to plan and prepare to reconnect our stakeholders in a safe and secure environment.”

“Intersec Saudi Arabia is an important and growing show, uniquely positioned to reflect Saudi’s vital security, safety, and fire protection industries, and one where international solution providers look to make inroads in a thriving market,” added Robinson.

Intersec Saudi Arabia is supported by major government entities including Saudi Civil Defense, and the Saudi Standards, Metrology and Quality Organization (SASO), together with the industry at large.

More than 120 exhibitors from 20 countries are expected to attend next year while the usual wide range of value-added conferences covering much needed discussions and topics will also return.

Saudi is the Middle East’s largest commercial security, fire protection and safety market, and even with COVID-19, it is estimated to be worth US$9.6bn in 2020, according to analysts 6Wresearch.

Homeland security and policing will hold the lion’s share of spend this year, at US$5.4bn. This is followed by information security (US$2.8bn), commercial security (US$892mn), fire safety (US$309mn), and physical and perimeter protection (US$227mn).
