Taking place in Dubai from 16-18 January this year, Intersec, the trade fair for security, safety and fire protection industries, organised an awards ceremony, across different sectors of the industry. Here are the winners:
Fire and Safety
In the Excellence in Fire Prevention category, Ramtech took home the prize for their WES3 temporary wireless fire and evacuation system. For the Outstanding Safety Solutions category, SYSNAV was awarded for its first responder smart tracker. Reacton's fire suppression, for protecting UAE school buses for Emirates Transport, was recognised as well.
Security Award
D-Fend Solutions emerged as the winner in the premier homeland security solutions for its EnforceAir2 technology. The AXIS Q1656-DLE Radar-Video Fusion Camera, produced by Axis Communications, also won big in the commercial security solutions category. Garrett's Paragon walk-through metal detector was recognised during the event as an exemplary perimeter security solutions. OTORIO's OT risk management solution emerged as an outstanding cybersecurity product of the year.
Security Project of the Year - Middle East & Africa
Dubai Police's Virtual Technology Centre was awarded for its smart security awareness project.
Industry Award
Once again, Axis Communications won the sustainability champion award for its M4328-P Panoramic Camera. Drydocks World was recognised as the outstanding fire safety team of the year. Red Sea Global emerged as the outstanding security team of the year.
The event also highlighted the importance of a diverse workplace and increasing gender diversity in the industry. Shaima Basaeed from the Dubai RTA was given the award for Rising Star Award for Emirati Talent. Alyaa Alkaabi from the UAE Ministry of Interior was recognised as a woman trailblazer in security and fire safety.
