HIMA, a leading independent provider of smart safety solutions, will be presenting safety technology for the rail industry at InnoTrans in Berlin from 18-21 September 2018
Under the slogan “Flexible, Proven, Off the Shelf,” the company will showcase its safety solutions at Stand 510 in Hall 6.2. These safety systems have been installed in a number of rail projects around the world.
“A lot has happened since InnoTrans 2016: COTS technology is now standard in many rail applications run by world-leading end users and system integrators,” said Sedat Sezgün, group vice-president for business segment rail at HIMA.
“At the trade fair this year many of our partner companies are exhibiting COTS projects based on HIMA technology,” Sezgün added.
HIMA has been one of the first manufacturers to provide SIL4-standard controllers compliant with CENELEC. Today they are used by 50 partners in over 30 countries. The controllers are part of the “Smart Safety Platform” which is the first comprehensive solution in the world to combine safety and security.
