Emirates Health Services (EHS) demonstrated its leadership and excellence in the field of providing digital health services in line with the highest standards, having won three new accolades at the ZIMAM-Elsevier Awards 2022 during the GCC eHealth Workforce Development Conference
EHS’ Performance & Clinical Excellence (PaCE) Quality and Outcome Programme (PQOP) – specialised in diabetes – won the award in the Digital Healthcare category, with the institution also winning the Best Digital Health Initiative Award for Workforce Development of the Year for the systems it adopts in implementing training and development best practices, namely its Maharati programme. EHS also won in the Best Practices in Supporting Institutional Innovation Strategy category with its Afkari programme.
Dr. Essam Al Zarouni, executive director of the Medical Services Sector at EHS, said, “Winning of prestigious awards is a continuation of the series of regional and international honours Emirates Health Services has earned, in line with its vision to implement advanced preventive measures, provide top-quality health services that adhere to international best practices, and accomplish its strategy to promote health and better quality of life.”
The (PaCE) Quality and Outcome Programme specialising in diabetes includes a wide-ranging system for the use of digital health records designed to drive improvements in healthcare and enhance the results of services provided to patients. The programme was designed to help the medical community evaluate their practices using digital tools in order to improve service management for diabetes patients.
Meanwhile, the Maharti programme consists of a unified smart e-learning platform and an integrated system for training and knowledge management that combines a digital library, online and live training, and a competency management system.
As for the Afkari programme, it is a digital innovation management platform allowing EHS employees, partners, and customers, who share the same vision to work together remotely and bring innovations to life to address challenges, develop ideas, and test prototypes. Moreover, the programme includes advanced features to drive innovation across all organisational levels.
