DarkMatter, the international cyber security firm, has announced the commercial availability of its flagship KATIM™ Phone at Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2018
Also available is the KATIM™ Email application, a new addition to the KATIM™ Secure Communications Application Suite which allows end-to-end encrypted communication between KATIM users or even external users through secure web access.
The complete end-to-end 256-bit cryptographic encryption includes body, subject, priority flag in transit and also remain encrypted while at rest, aiming to provide as safe email communications [latform encrypted from third-parties.
KATIM™ aims to provide an integrated and comprehensive solution to meet the needs of nations and enterprises requiring the highest level of protection for critical data and communications.

It has a toughened Corning® Gorilla® Glass 5 screen with diamond like carbon coating, which remains clear, responsive and scratch free. KATIM™ Phone is designed to protect against modern mobile security threats, preventing malware and leaks of sensitive data, by separating secure communications and data from the outside world with a safe wall.
A key feature of KATIM™ Phone is its hardened Android™ operating system. At each boot instance, KATIM™ Phone checks the entire software stack via its bootloader to detect modifications. If this validation fails, boot up is aborted. Throughout its operation KATIM™ Phone continues to monitor the integrity of its environment and in the event of a security attack that threatens a bypass of the built-in security mechanisms, a process is initiated for wiping clean the entire KATIM™ Phone environment, including all the keys and user data stored securely within it.
Other security features include SHIELD MODE™ to securely cut off recording functions, providing ultimate peace of mind for top secret meetings; tamper protection and detection; and encrypted data in transit and at rest. KATIM™ Phone applies strong cryptographic algorithms that are tested and vetted by xen1thLabs™ test & validation labs. Device and user-specific trust roots are stored on a secure element that is cryptographically bound to the platform and it’s boot-up.
