Web Summit Qatar 2026, held from 1-4 February at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Centre, showcased some cutting-edge healthtech.

HSE Review looks at three innovative companies: eSteps Health, Balansize, and MedHeed, that exhited their technologies at the summit.

These companies stood out in the Impact Startup and Alpha showcase areas, and each of them presented practical AI-driven tools focused on prevention, personalisation, and accessibility.

eSteps Health, a deep-tech pioneer, drew crowds with its proprietary smart insole technology.

Its V2 model, which slips comfortably into everyday footwear, uses sensor fusion and digital twin capabilities to deliver advanced mobility and gait tracking.

At the summit, the team, including CEO Nidhal Louhichi and IoT & Robotics Engineer Kawther Dhahbi, highlighted seamless integration with popular wearables such as Whoop, Garmin, and Oura Ring.

Visitors experienced live demos showing real-time data analysis for early mobility issue detection and injury risk reduction.

Targeted at both rehabilitation patients and high-performance athletes, including footballers, the solution redefines movement intelligence through AI, turning raw step data into actionable prevention insights.

At their booth, the discussions focused on shifting from reactive care to proactive health management.

Another company, Balansize, unveiled its AI-powered women’s wellbeing assistant app, described as “the ultimate time-saving, personalised path to inner balance.”

The platform functions as a holistic ecosystem, blending fitness, nutrition, mindfulness, and self-care into adaptive daily programmes.

Attendees explored features such as five-minute personalised rituals, culturally sensitive meal guidance, stress and sleep trackers, and expert-led content on hormone balance and emotional resilience.

Guided meditations and progress dashboards emphasised empowerment and confidence-building.

Positioned as a purpose-driven, eco-conscious tool, Balansize resonates strongly with female wellness professionals, showcasing how AI can simplify busy lives while fostering sustainable habits.

Meanwhile, MedHeed demonstrated its MedHeed AI, an intelligent health assistant that instantly translates complex medical and laboratory data into plain-language summaries and actionable recommendations.

Exhibiting on 4 February, the team emphasised its HIPAA-compliant security and enterprise-grade encryption, making it suitable for both patients seeking clarity on their results and providers needing quick overviews.

The tool generates insights in seconds, highlighting trends in fatigue, recovery, or chronic indicators, which are ideal for voluntary wellness tracking.

Demos illustrated how users upload reports to receive clear dashboards, bridging the gap between technical jargon and everyday understanding.

While these three exhibitors exemplified the summit’s theme of human-centred technology, they also demonstrate how wearable technology can be useful in ehancing occupational health and safety.

If implemented properly, they can improve workplace safety.
